Light Reading For The Domestically Challenged

The witty Erin Bried has done a service for all modern women with How to Sew a Button… and other nifty things your grandmother knew or as I like to call it, How to do all that shit you’ve been running away from for far too long.

Like many women out there trying to prove that they can conquer all in a man’s world, I have, to a fault, rejected any domestic knowledge that has had the misfortune of crossing my path. I’m only beginning to understand the true wealth and resourcefulness of domestic prowess.

In this book, Erin Bried goes straight to the source, grandmothers who lived through the age of self-sufficiency. I’ve already learned how to unclog a drain, bake a pie, iron a shirt, compost, and make pancakes. Believe it or not, I had little to no clue how to do any of these things effectively.
